The purpose of this blog is to supplement the 4th grade California State Science Standards. Each day, I will post a photograph of something I found on a hike, or an experiment that I tried. Then I will write about the photograph. I hope students in California and all over the world enjoy the photographs and the text that supports the photo. The name of this blog comes from a quote by naturalist John Muir. "Take a course in good water and air; and in the eternal youth of Nature you may renew your own. Go quietly, alone; no harm will befall you."
